These keys fit most Briggs & Stratton Engines. Both singles and V-twins, model 19 & 28 flatheads. Does not fit V-twin Vanguard.
The offset number represents the approximate degree of offset. We highly recommend setting your ignition timing staticly and using a degree wheel. Click here to see how to check the ignition timing.
Caution! Advancing the ignition timing to much may sound good at idle but will not always make more power. Too much timing will cause preignition (Engine Knock or Rattle), over heating and exhaust valve flutter. Too much ignition has been the cause of many crankshaft failures. This is common on the single OHV engines like the Intek Engine, even using balanced billet crankshafts.
